New treatment option Acthar for #MS attack #Multiple sclerosis

As someone being diagnosed with MS for over 20 years feel very excited about a new treatment option; Acthar for acute exacerbations of MS (multiple sclerosis) and that is an injection. Possibly, Acthar the new medication might be worth considering with MS doctors and nurses once available in your local MS community. To date options and for the last 30 years treatments have been rather limited and frequently only intravenous steroid therapy. The new MS treatment option Acthar has shown in clinical trials to help with a faster recovery, after an acute exacerbation of MS in adults and as a result offers more choices for patients to review. More information is available here with this release: Please, consider treatment decisions best made after a consultation with a, prescribing MS specialist so any risks and reactions can be managed effectively. Controlled clinical trials have shown Acthar to be effective in speeding the recovery of acute exacerbations of multiple sclerosis. However, there is no evidence to date that Acthar affects the ultimate outcome or natural history of the disease.Common side effects and adverse reactions have included fluid retention, alteration in glucose tolerance, elevation in blood pressure, behavioral and mood changes, increased appetite
and weight gain.
